How to Measure
We need a fairly accurate measurement from you so that we can size and custom fabricate your washing line for you. The size (length) of the washing line should be the distance between your two mounting points as measured using a reasonably taut rope, string, tape measure or even an old piece of washing line! If you have mounting points already (eye plates, hooks, etc), measure from mounting point to mounting point. Don't worry too much and don't over measure - a bit too short is OK! We will fabricate the washing line and include a short length of stainless steel chain plus two stainless steel hooks. When you fit the washing line, attach the chain to your mounting point and then pull the line taut using the end thimble and a hook and hook in to a chain link to give the right line tension. We offer a range of stainless steel clips, carabiners, hooks, etc to secure your washing line at either end and which can be added to your order via the shop page.
See the picture below. Tell us the distance between A and B in metres, to two decimal places, and record it on the CART page in the ADD A NOTE box provided. For example: 9.78 metres or 9 metres and 78 centimetres.
